Story
South Florida Freedive Fest was born in 2023 with a simple goal — to bring the freediving community together and highlight the incredible dive conditions we have in South Florida. What started as a local gathering has quickly grown into one of the most welcoming and supportive freediving events in the region.
What truly sets SFFF apart is our focus on connection, safety, and growth. The festival is open to all certified freedivers (basic certification or higher), and every float has an experienced instructor offering real-time feedback, safety support, and personalized coaching — all in a fun, encouraging environment.

We aim to create an inclusive and supportive space where freedivers of all levels can safely explore their potential, learn from passionate instructors, and experience the incredible underwater world of South Florida.

Who Should Attend?
SFFF welcomes freedivers of all experience levels, as long as you hold (at least a basic) freediver certification and are 18 years or older.
Most of our participants are Level 1 certified divers looking to gain confidence, expand their skills, and connect with other passionate freedivers in a supportive, no-pressure setting.
We keep the event intimate and community-centered, capping attendance at just 40 freedivers. This ensures each participant receives individual guidance and has the opportunity to build meaningful connections — both in and out of the water.

Each day includes optional morning yoga and breathwork sessions, in water training, workshops, group meals, and community gatherings designed to help you connect, learn, and dive deeper — both in the water and within yourself.
Day 0 — Wednesday, July 8
Welcome & Check-in Day

Pool & Skills Day

Choose from a variety of local activities with your new freedive friends and go explore some other fun activities that south florida has to offer! We will be hosting a sunrise freedive at Blue Heron Bridge or for additional fee, join some of our partners for reef diving, shark diving, photography & more! More details will be shared soon but you can expect:
